Who's Driving On Day 1 of Bahrain's Official Pre-Season Test?

The Official Pre-Season Test – set to be broadcast on F1 TV – gets under way on March 10 as the teams get set to unleash their new 2022 cars around the Bahrain International Circuit – and here is an insight into who is driving when.

The teams will continue gathering data and learning about their new cars on a completely different type of circuit to Barcelona – which hosted pre-season running in February – ahead of the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix on March 20.

The teams will also be looking to complete as many laps as possible over the three days and test new parts as they continue to hone their 2022 Formula 1 challengers.

Haas will miss out on the opening morning's running after a logistical issue, but Pietro Fittipaldi is set to drive in the afternoon – the squad having announced that Kevin Magnussen will make a sensational return to F1 this season.

McLaren, meanwhile, were forced into a late substitution, with Daniel Ricciardo not feeling well, his team mate Lando Norris set to substitute for him.

The morning session is set to begin at 1000 local time, with the afternoon session scheduled to begin at 1500 local time – eight hours of running scheduled per day.
